It’s been a long time coming, a majority win for the PCs who haven’t served as the majority government since 2015.
Tony Wakeham will now serve the province as the 16th Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Wakeham said he is looking forward to making a big change in our province.
Wakeham said in a time of democracy every Newfoundlander showed the world how it is done.
Wakeham promises that he will work hard for the people of the province and his top priority is to do everything he can to build a brighter and better future for all of us. This means better healthcare and better equipment for all of us.
This also means lower taxes, increased support for seniors and students.
Also, the PC Party will increase funding for policing services.
Wakeham intends not to sign any deal without approval of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians without a referendum.
A better and brighter future has come to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Wakeham intends to shape Newfoundland and Labrador and will renegotiate Churchill Falls agreement and the much needed transmission line for Labrador West.
